Ken McGuire is President of Management Excellence Action Coalition (MEAC), an international management education and consulting firm for manufacturing companies that he founded in 1981.
Ken is a leading international authority on global production practices, specifically lean manufacturing, total quality management and Six Sigma quality systems. Ken developed his expertise from his manufacturing management experience and studying “best practice” manufacturing sites throughout the Asia Pacific. He has led over two dozen senior executive study missions to Japan and China.
Ken is a founding member of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME). Currently, he is an AME Corporate Board Member and advisor to the Manufacturing Champions. As an AME Institute director, Ken designed and developed the Institute’s leadership development initiative. Leadership Development for the Innovative Enterprise is a hands-on, year-long program for senior leaders that is designed to build their enterprise management skills.
Ken earned his B.S. in Economics from Canisius College, and his MBA from the Syracuse University School of Management. He is APICS certified in Production and Inventory Management at the Fellow Level, a certified Lead Assessor for the ISO 9000 quality standards, and has served as an IndustryWeek magazine Best Plants judge since 2002.
